From Mining to Homes
DTC Group didn't start in real estate at all — it started underground. The group traces back to the 1980s, when Satyanarayan Jalan took over a century-old mining company in Jharkhand and built it into a mining business that, by the 1990s, had expanded into exports. That mining business — over four decades old today — still sits at the core of the group alongside its real estate and infrastructure arms, which include completed water-supply infrastructure tenders.
The group today is led by Dinesh Jalan as Managing Director, with the next generation — Ayush Jalan and Pratyush Jalan — involved across the group's operations. Roughly 75 management executives and 200 employees in total run day-to-day operations.
